Calling Tom

Shy turned off the computer and picked up the phone to call Tom. He hoped that Orli and Will wouldn't begrudge him a call to Boston. They had made a trip to the mainland to pick up a few supplies, and while he wasn't doing anything wrong, he couldn't help feeling better about the fact that he was home alone. It seemed that there would be less room for misunderstanding this way.

He punched in the number Tom had given him and waited for it to be picked up. He couldn't believe how nervous he was feeling, but it had been a while since he'd heard the other man's voice.
